SUMMARY:Light Up Cannon Falls
DESCRIPTION:LIGHT UP CANNON FALLS has activities happening throughout December.  \n\n\n\nADOPT A TREE/DECORATE FOR OTHERS/DECORATE YOUR OWN – Everyone is invited to help their family\, friends\, neighbors\, the elderly\, and disabled individuals decorate their homes or yards for the holidays. This can be a group of people working together or an individual. You may need to bring decorations and lights. Senior Living facilities love to get help decorating the outside of their building for their residents to enjoy.  \n\n\n\nJust let the Chamber know where you are decorating so it can be included in the Lighting Up Cannon Falls Tour Map. Photos would be great to share too.  On December 17th\, the map will be posted on the Chamber’s webpage\, FaceBook and Instagram. \n\n\n\nIf you are decorating your own home or business\, please let the Chamber know that too.  We will include you on the Tour Map. December 16th is the deadline to get your tree or decorating locations on the map. \n\n\n\nBUY LOCAL GIVING TREE – This is a tree that will be at the Chamber Office and it will be decorated with tags that have specific gifts for school-age children in our area.  We are collecting the names of the children and any specific details that are necessary (sizes\, colors\, age-specific\, etc…) \n\n\n\nThese tags will start to be hung on our tree Friday\, December 3rd.  Come in and get a tag\, purchase the item from one of our local merchants\, if possible\, and return the wrapped gift with a note describing what is inside back to the Chamber by noon on Friday\, December 17th.  These gifts will be distributed to the families between December 20th – 23rd. \n\n\n\nTOYS FOR TOTS – The Chamber will have a Toys for Tots Box at the office. Please bring your new unwrapped gifts to help fill the box. The box should arrive at the beginning of December and it will be picked up no later than the middle of December.  \n\n\n\nSCAVENGER HUNT – There will be over 20 holiday items to find throughout Cannon Falls.  On Friday\, December 3rd\, the clues will begin to be posted on the Chamber’s webpage\, FaceBook and Instagram.   \n\n\n\nEveryone completing the hunt will get their name in a drawing and Chamber Dollar prizes will be awarded ($200\, $100 and $50).  Those participating will need to turn in a completed list to the Chamber by noon on Friday\, December 17th.  The prize winners will be announced on our social media pages that afternoon\, and the prizes can be picked up through Wednesday\, December 22nd\, at 4:30 pm.
