Cannon Valley Trail

Cannon Falls offers nearly 30 acres of parks and recreational facilities...most of them located along the Cannon River corridor and connected by the cities paved recreational trail. The system is ideal for a bike ride, skate, walk or picnic.

The Cannon Valley Trail, recognized as one of the 10 most beautiful rail-to-trail projects in the nation, runs along the Cannon River from Cannon Falls to Welch to Red Wing (20 miles). The entire trail is paved and it is groomed for cross country skiing in the winter.

Wheel pass required ($4.00/day, under 18 free/ Season Pass $25) available in Cannon Falls at the Chamber of Commerce Office, Econofoods, Hjermstad's Hardware, The Old Market Deli, the Cannon River Winery, Cannon Falls Bike & Canoe Rental, the Cannon Falls Campground, Best Western Saratoga Inn, and Cannon Valley Trail Office. State Ski Pass required for cross country skiing.

NO PETS~ Please note: Pets are not allowed on the Cannon Valley Trail.
