The Cass Gilbert Society is on the hunt for missing, original furnishings from the Minnesota State Capitol. They are collecting photographs and tracing stories of items that capture Gilbert’s legacy and his design for the Capitol building. This initiative aims to connect the public with the Capitol through the stories of lost and found items: furniture, light fixtures, building fragments, and interior photographs.

Children aged 10 and under, accompanied by an adult are invited to the Trick or Treat Trot in historic downtown Cannon Falls from 4 – 5 p.m. on Halloween. Merchants will be handing out goodies on the sidewalks. No streets will be shut down for this event. The Cannon Falls Police Department will be assisting at the intersections. All Children MUST be accompanied by an adult.
